Lake City's 5th Annual Garage/Yard Sale

The Chamber is currently looking for you to call us up and tell us you want to have your garage/yard sale on May 22nd.  For $5 we will list it on a flyer.  If it's within the City limits we will even show it on the map on the flyer.  To get included on these flyers you need to contact us prior to May 1st and live in Missaukee County!    The maps will be available in many area businesses and at the Chamber office.  It is also the same day the Kiwanis are having their annual auction.  This year's auction will be held at the American Legion, Post #300 in Lake City beginning at 3 p.m.  You can bet that the people who were on this map last year will want to do it again, that is if they have anything left to sell!  All reported that it was their best yard sale ever!

Greatest Fourth in the North

This celebration has something to offer everyone in the family and the theme this year is "Let Freedom Ring".   Grand Parade, Ox Roast, Free Professional Entertainment Shows, Children's Parade, Beach Volleyball Competition 5k, 10k, 2k, fun run, Battle of the Bands, Strolling Entertainment, $1000 Karaoke Contest, an Arts & Crafts Show, Fireworks which will be shot off from the new barge on Lake Missaukee , and more!  Plus we will raffle off a brand new 2012 Chevy Camero!

Street Fair & Car Show

Local merchant sales, arts, crafts, baked goods and more. don't miss this Saturday of shopping on the lovely streets of Lake City. Our car show, is a huge draw on Saturday with up to 200 cars and offers many activities. There will also be a cruise Friday evening.

Farmer's Market

Join us on Thursday evenings from 5-8 p.m. Fresh produce by local farmers, food, music, crafts and more! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a variety of live entertainment each night.

Festival Of The Pines

Beverage tent with music Friday and Saturday night. Prince & Princess Contest Friday night, followed by a teen dance in the tent. Horseshoe Competitions, Arts & Crafts Market, Grand Parade, Lumberjack Competitions, Youth Archery Competition and Bingo on Saturday. Lumberjack breakfast, Muzzle Loader Competition,& more!

Please note: These are only the Chambers scheduled events, more events may be planned throughout the year!

Also, please note, that the Chamber organizes these celebrations, but not necessarily every event during the celebrations. For instance, the chamber does not put the 10k, 5k, 2k, races on during the Greatest Fourth in the North celebration, however we will assist the Lake City Athletic Boosters by passing out registration forms.
